Banish the need for foundation in three months
Many women rely on foundation to cover a range of skin problems including blemishes, spots and redness. However, organic skincare brand Bio2You is reminding women that the need for foundation can be made obsolete for many, simply by following a good skincare routine containing the right products.
Rita Strazinska, skincare expert and founder of Bio2You, says: “Ingredients in skincare are key to great skin, so women should pay particular attention to the products they are using on their face. Opting for natural and organic skincare products can be beneficial as they don’t contain synthetic ingredients which can actually act as irritants and do more harm than good. Covering up skin conditions with foundation can actually add to problems as it doesn’t allow skin to breathe or repair itself, and may actually worsen its appearance.
“Natural ingredients such as seabuckthorn berry, hyaluronic acid and organic oils such as avocado, starflower and jojoba offer a range of benefits to the skin, from minimising blemishes and illuminating, to boosting collagen production.”
Rita says it is important to follow a good daily skincare routine of cleansing, toning and moisturising, using products specifically designed for your skin type. However, it is also important to add in products which are designed to tackle specific skin complaints, or which offer added benefits.
Bio2You’s Organic Revitalising Serum (£24.95 for 15ml, from www.remedynaturalproducts.co.uk) is an all-round wonder product which contains highly concentrated active plant-origin ingredients and natural essential fatty acids (including Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9) and a pro-endorphin complex to strengthen the skin’s cell activity, hydrate, revitalise the appearance of skin and enhance its resistance to ageing.
Rita recommends using the serum for three months alongside a good skincare routine and says that the need for foundation after this time will be greatly minimised, if not obsolete.
The Organic Revitalising Serum also contains seabuckthorn oil to enhance microcirculation and skin regeneration, rosa moschata, avocado, macadamia and jojoba oils to hydrate and soothe the skin, borage oil to reduce redness and clove – a natural calming agent to treat skin inflammation.
Rita says: “Your skin will not only feel better after introducing a targeted skincare routine, but it will also feel better without foundation, which can lay heavy on the skin and clog pores.”
