The Kale, in the vegetable world, is a huge source of vitamin A and is also rich in cancer fighting antioxidants. The health of the eyes and the skin improves a lot and the immune system too gets a good boost. This magic vegetable is also rich in fiber which is so good for the heart. Studies have shown that only 1 cup of Kale has more Vitamin C than an orange.
Many will sneer at the inclusion of this Korean staple food in this list but this food item deserves a place as it has huge gastrointestinal benefits. The dish is made by fermenting cabbage and other vegetables and is usually presented as a side dish. Fermented foods aid in the formation of probiotics and it benefits the gastrointestinal tracts immensely. The main bacteria in Kimchi helps to reduce bloating and indigestion. Kimchi is also known to reduce yeast infections.
Sardines are considered to be one of the best sources of Omega-3 fats and Vitamin D. But you will hardly come across anyone who relishes having sardines for lunch. It’s a real pity because these fishes are small and low on the food chain which means they do not have many toxins as the bigger fishes.

There are some other food items like Elderberry, Curcumin and Kiwifruit but recent studies have revealed that curcumin is mainly found in SE Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. It helps to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and fights arthritic pain.
